ABOUT THIS SITE

 

This website was created by Dr. Charles Goodman, Jr. of Montgomery, Alabama.  At the time of the creation of this site, Dr. Goodman had been an employee of LensCrafters for over seventeen years.  By contract, he was required to operate his business nearly every day of the year.  Therefore, he attempted to find an Alabama-licensed optometrist to fill in at his office in order to take time off for vacation, illness, continuing education, family obligations, and the like. Many times it was difficult to locate a professional to cover his office on the required days. 

 

In addition, many other employers in the area would frequently contact Dr. Goodman in search of temporary coverage for other optometric offices. 

 

Many optometrists, on the other hand, were seeking opportunities to work on their days off in order to supplement their income.

 

So this website was created in 2009 in order to more easily match those seeking practitioners with specialized state licenses (optometrists, pharmacists, nurses and physicians) with practitioners who desired to supplement their income with other opportunities, as their schedules allowed.
